We have been invited by one of your clients who became friends to come over for Thanksgiving, They asked us to make a traditional Dutch recipe, oeps? Sauerkraut with potatos? French fries with croquettes (don't understand me wrong, I love Dutch food) No, I will make stoofpeertjes!!! These are pears poached in red wine, with cinamon, lemon juice. sugar, cook them for about 40 minutes, pair them up with Pear Champagne : drizzle a teaspoon of pear liquor (eg Poire William or another pear eau de vie) pour Champagne into the glass and put in a slice of pear. Cheers!
